In 2025, the Library, which had long been a vital community resource receiving operating funds and assistance from the Southwestern Library District located in Grove City, faced a significant challenge when it was eliminated from those vital funds after a crucial levy failed to pass. This levy was intended to secure the necessary funding to ensure that the Library could adequately meet the needs of its employees and patrons. In response to this unfortunate situation and in a determined effort to keep the Library open, the village decided to reallocate money from the village income tax, a move aimed at providing temporary support to keep the Library operational. In a further initiative to garner community support, a GoFundMe page was opened, allowing both residents and supporters from outside the community to contribute financially and help sustain this beloved institution. The Library is not only a non-profit organization but also serves as an open and welcoming space for everyone, providing essential services and programs that enrich the lives of local residents. If you would like to contribute to its ongoing mission and ensure that it remains a resource for the community, the link is conveniently located on this page to facilitate making a contribution.
